A seminar titled “Data Analysis with Artificial Intelligence in Social Media” organized by the Faculty of Communication Sciences (İBF) at Anadolu University was held in the Lydia Hall of the Faculty of Communication Sciences. The seminar, which was attended by a large number of participants, had Dr. Serap Şişman Uğur, a faculty member of the Faculty of Education, as the speaker.
Dr. Uğur: “When data is correctly interpreted, it not only reveals the past but also predicts the potential future.” Highlighting the combination of data analysis in social media with artificial intelligence applications and its assistance in helping brands, marketers, and researchers understand user behaviors, develop strategies, and gain competitive advantage, Dr. Serap Şişman Uğur, a faculty member of the Faculty of Education, continued: “When managing a social media account for an institution, it is necessary to establish an institutional identity and develop strategies based on this identity. You need to conduct an image and reputation analysis for the institution and know how to use data related to the institution. Throughout this process, you utilize data. Performing data analysis requires significant knowledge and experience. In recent years, artificial intelligence has significantly reduced the burden on individuals in this regard. Even if you don’t know how to process data, it can process and interpret it for you. Data analysis in social media is essential for determining what your followers and customers who purchase your product for sales purposes expect and want from you. Artificial intelligence data analysis applications can analyze textual data to perform sentiment analysis, trend forecasting, survey analysis, demographic analysis, and target audience segmentation. In the future of social media data analysis applications, augmented reality can be used to provide new and interactive experiences, and connections with the Internet of Things can be developed to yield more comprehensive results. Additionally, it will be crucial for social media data analysis applications to be used in accordance with ethical and privacy standards in the future.”
The “Data Analysis with Artificial Intelligence in Social Media” seminar concluded after the question and answer session.
