Minister of Industry Kacır Announces Technopark for Denizli OSB

Speaking at the collective opening ceremony held at the Vocational Training Center of Denizli Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced, “We will establish Denizli’s second technopark in collaboration with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality at Denizli Organized Industrial Zone. Congratulations to Denizli.”

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s Development Agencies General Directorate, the South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA) supported 32 projects within the scope of the Alternative Tourism, Guided Project Support, Strengthening Cooperatives and Unions, Digitization in Manufacturing Industry, Innovative Youth Entrepreneurship, and Social Development Support Program. A ceremony was held at the Denizli OSB Vocational Training Center for the opening of completed projects.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan, AK Party Denizli Provincial Chairman Yücel Güngör, Pamukkale Municipality Mayor Avni Örki, General Director of Development Agencies Ahmet Şimşek, GEKA Secretary General Özgür Akdoğan, President of Denizli Chamber of Industry Selim Kasapoğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Denizli OSB Derya Baltalı, Board Members of Denizli OSB Osman Uğurlu and Selim Yaymanoğlu, Director of Denizli OSB Region Ahmet Taş, as well as teachers and students from DOSTEK College.

“We will increase Denizli’s industrial branding” Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said, “With the Denizli Vocational Training and Testing Center project, we are aligning our human resources in areas needed by the industry, especially in textiles and machinery sectors, with sought-after competencies. By meeting the qualified workforce needs of our leading manufacturing industry in Denizli, we are enhancing the competitiveness of our industry. In the coming period, through the activities we will conduct within the center, we will continue to increase Denizli’s industrial capacity in innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, design, and branding. With Digitalization Projects in Manufacturing Industry, we provided interest-free financing for our businesses’ digital transformation efforts. We achieved a 20% increase in their productivity and a 15% increase in their production capacities. Together with Denizli and Denizli residents, we will raise the flag of Turkey Century to the top, just as we have done for the past 22 years. We will bring our nation together with new visions, new goals, and new programs.”

After the speeches, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Denizli OSB Derya Baltalı presented a gift to Minister of Industry and Technology M. Fatih Kacır. Then, the opening ribbon of the 32 projects was cut by Minister Kacır, protocol members, and students from DOSTEK College together.

Minister Kacır was impressed by the work of DOSTEK College students After the opening ceremony, Minister Kacır inspected the workshops at DOSTEM and reviewed the work of DOSTEK College students one by one. Chatting with the students and gathering information about their work, Minister Kacır also took a souvenir photo with them. Minister Kacır signed the success board of DOSTEK College with the message “Congratulations” as a memory of the day.
